In 2015 I did a one week residency in Finland organized by the Finish Bioart Society called Field Notes. Every two years they bring artists, researchers and scientist together to work in groups on a specific theme/topic. Each group explores the tundra around the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station in Lapland,Finland, discovering, experimenting and contemplating their topic through direct experience with the landscape and their peers. Inspired by this process I decided to call my blog Field Notes. Weather you are a scientist or artist the time spent on the filed (in the studio, on the film set, at the gallery setting up a show, at a residency) is central to our practice and helps us grow as thinkers, creators and humans. In this blog I would like to continue sharing my experiences from the field of my art and film practice.
